Requirements
for submission of Extra Credit Projects
- You may work alone or with one other person. If
you
work with someone else, hand in one paper with both of your names on
it. In this case, the grade received by each group member will be
multiplied by 90%.
- No groups bigger than two. No collaboration between
groups or unacknowledged use of outside resources. Violation of this policy
will entail (very severe) consequences described in the
Submission Instructions for non-project Extra Credit assignments. Ask
me if you are unsure what this means.
- As for any Extra Credit assignment, you may receive
credit only if your work is mostly (i.e. at least 65%) correct and is
presented in a neat and clear way. Regarding the latter:
- I will not accept any non-stapled or otherwise
sloppily organized papers.
- I will not grade any messily presented solutions.
- I will reduce your score, up to the point of not giving
you any credit, if you skip any details or explanations in your
solution. The only
exception may be minor arithmetic calculations. If you are unsure if
you need to present any details or explanations, play it safe and
present them, or ask me.
